1-Day Golden Monkey Trekking Safari from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park

05:00 AM – Pick-up in Kigali

Meet your driver-guide at your hotel or Kigali International Airport and depart for Volcanoes National Park. The scenic drive through Rwanda's rolling hills takes approximately 2.5 hours.

07:30 AM – Park Briefing

Arrive at the Kinigi Park Headquarters for registration and a briefing by park rangers on golden monkey trekking procedures, safety guidelines, and conservation efforts.

08:00 AM – Golden Monkey Trekking
Enter the bamboo forests of Volcanoes National Park in search of the endangered golden monkeys. The trek usually lasts between 2 and 4 hours depending on the monkeys' location, and once found, you'll spend one unforgettable hour observing and photographing these playful primates in their natural habitat.

12:30 PM – Lunch
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Musanze.

01:30 PM – Return to Kigali
Drive back to Kigali, enjoying the beautiful countryside along the way.

04:30 PM – Drop-off
Arrive in Kigali and transfer to your hotel or Kigali International Airport for your onward flight. Arrival time may vary depending on trekking duration and road conditions.
