12 DAYS UGANDA WILDLIFE, PRIMATES AND HIKING SAFARI

Your safari adventure begins early in the morning with a guided shoebill trekking experience on Lake Victoria. After a briefing, you will set out by boat through quiet papyrus wetlands, one of the best habitats to search for the rare and iconic shoebill stork. As you glide through the waterways, keep an eye out for this prehistoric-looking bird, along with other wetland species such as kingfishers, herons, and African jacanas.

After the excursion, enjoy breakfast before departing on a scenic road transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive takes you through Uganda’s countryside, passing rural villages, farmland, and small towns, offering a glimpse into local life along the way. You will have lunch en route and brief stops to stretch and take photos.

Arrive at Murchison Falls National Park in the late afternoon and proceed to your lodge for check-in. Depending on arrival time, you may relax at the lodge and enjoy views of the surrounding savannah or take a short evening drive within the park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge mark the end of your first day.

This day combines a unique birding experience with a scenic cross-country journey, setting the tone for an exciting safari filled with diverse wildlife, landscapes, and unforgettable encounters in Uganda.

Start the day early with a morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most diverse protected area. Explore the park’s open savannahs, woodlands, and riverine habitats, seeking out elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and an array of antelope species. Your experienced guide will provide insights into animal behavior, park ecology, and the rich biodiversity that makes this park so unique.

Return to the lodge for a hearty lunch before setting off on an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile River. Cruise towards the base of the spectacular Murchison Falls, where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge and plunges with incredible force into the river below. Along the way, spot hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species, including fish eagles and herons, while enjoying the dramatic riverside scenery.

After the cruise, embark on a short hike to the top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile thunders down 43 meters through the narrow gorge. From this vantage point, take in breathtaking panoramic views of the river, surrounding savannah, and distant wildlife. Capture memorable photos and appreciate the sheer power and beauty of one of Africa’s most iconic waterfalls.

Return to your lodge in the evening to relax and reflect on a full day of adventure, wildlife, and spectacular landscapes. Day 3 perfectly combines game viewing, river exploration, and one of Uganda’s most iconic natural wonders, setting the stage for the next leg of your safari.
