Our experienced driver-guide will pick you up at 4:00 AM from your hotel in Kigali for a scenic drive to Akagera National Park, approximately two hours away. Upon arrival and registration at the park headquarters, you’ll enjoy a hearty breakfast at a nearby lodge before setting off on your morning game drive through the African savannah.
As you explore, you may encounter a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, rhinos, crocodiles, and more. If you're lucky, you might even spot a leopard, hyena, or a lion roaming the plains.
After a picnic lunch, continue your adventure with an afternoon game drive, delving deeper into different sectors of the park to discover more of its stunning landscapes and diverse animal life.
As the sun sets, we’ll begin the return journey to Kigali. You'll arrive in the late evening, and we’ll drop you off at your hotel or the airport—leaving you with unforgettable memories of your one-day safari in Akagera.
